Entertainment
Saturday 26 April – The main draw is generally held on the Saturday before the start of the event at about 15h00. Each year a top Bavarian personality makes the draw, and 2008 will be no different.
Sunday 27 April – A traditional ProAM Tournament is held at the club every year. Aspiring tennis stars and sponsors from the world of commerce, politics and the media take on some of the contestants of the 2008 BMW Open. Teams are made up of one amateur and one pro, and smart tennis players use the ProAM as a warm-up for the more serious BMW Open tournament. In the past, players like Tommy Haas, Andrei Pavel, Mikhail Youzhny and Florian Mayer have supported the ProAM.
Monday 28 April – Monday is traditionally set aside for ‘Kids Day’. Children under the age of 16 are admitted free, and apart from the usual fun and games they will have the opportunity of testing their skill against the stars of the show, as well as coaches and players from the host club. The Players’ Party is also generally held on the Monday night at a nightclub in Munich. In 2007 P1 hosted the party, and the venue for the 2008 Players’ Party will be announced in due course. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet and greet the legends of the game in a more relaxed and informal setting. Entry is limited and there are two ticket options:
- From 20h00 including food and drinks. Prices from €150 or
- From 22h00 including drinks only. Prices from €50

Wednesday 30 April – Ladies Day is traditionally held on the Wednesday of the tournament. The first 250 ladies who grace the club with their presence will be presented with a glass of free beer and a small gift from an international cosmetics group.
Thursday 1 May – For the first time in 2007 an exhibition match was held featuring German tennis legend, Michael Stich. He was the last German to have won the BMW Open in 1994. Kohlschreiber now holds that honour. The contestants for 2008 will be announced once confirmed.
Looking at the BMW Open 2008 schedule, why not put your money where your mouth is and place a bet on who you think will walk away with the BMW Open Crown. Can another German make it a consecutive win for the hosts, or will Kohlschreiber rise to the occasion himself?
